Finishing with an 18-6 record, the Kendal Eagles finished atop the GTBL standings and claimed the 2022 pennant. The Eagles head into the playoffs on cruise control having won nine straight GTBL contests and twelve of their last thirteen. Kendal showed well across the province with some nice tournament wins including a 4-0 dub against provincial powerhouse Sarnia at the 2022 eliminations.
Kendal qualifies for the GTBL final four weekend August 26-28 with their first place finish, as does the second place Thornhill Reds. After a 1-5 start the Reds put together two stretches of six and seven game win streaks, to finish the year 15-10 and grab the second automatic berth to the finals.
Seeds three through six now meet in a best of three series to determine which other two teams will advance.
