With an 11-4 home win over the Pickering Red Sox, the Newmarket Hawks clinched third place in the GTBL standings and the best two out of three playoff matchups were determined. The Hawks will meet Martingrove while East York and Pickering will tangle, all looking to join Thornhill and Leaside in the GTBL final four playoff weekend, August 24-26 at Concord Regional Park. With just two days of play left in the GTBL regular season, the first round playoff series will start as early as Friday evening.
